Voice Tel Tech was engaged to carry out an investigation into the site build costs of one of the leading telecom company in Africa with the view to reduce these. As part of this exercise the telecom tower, site power infrastructure, site equipment shelter and other site equipment included in the scope such as DC rectifier were investigated. A target was set to achieve a cost reduction of at least 15% for these items. VTT, after carrying out a thorough study, prepared a procurement strategy through which client could achieve its objective of reducing the site build cost by at least 15% and saved millions of dollars by adopting the recommendations of this report.
